Notice of Appointment

The CPPC Board of Directors proudly announces the appointment of Francois Emond as full time Executive Director of the Canadian Public Procurement Council.  François has been managing the council on a part time and contractual basis for the last 10 years and we are pleased that he accepted to take the full-time leadership of the organization and contribute to its growth.

With more than 25 years of experience in procurement as a leader and practitioner we are convinced that François will be in a great position to understand the evolving priorities and needs of our members while contributing to the realization of our strategic plan in the coming years.  His experience combined with his energy and drive to succeed will be an asset to our Council.  Francois will also be supported in his role by Joannie Blais who will also become his full time Executive Assistant.

This appointment marks an important milestone in the life of the Canadian Public Procurement Council.” said Kimberley Murphy, President of the Board of Directors.  “Having full time resources dedicated to our mission and vision will strengthen the position of the CPPC as the leading voice for public procurement in Canada. Elevating the profession is something that the CPPC has set as a long term goal and we are pleased that François has accepted the challenge to achieve this goal with us.”
